Where Are Your Tax Dollars Going?
As Sea Bright residents… it’s unimaginable to think just how much the Borough spent on lawyers — to align themselves with vendors in lawsuits, against residents, whose property they knowingly damaged. If this is their tact — to enrich counsel while harming taxpaying residents, by siding with their cronies — the spending will be endless. Everybody hurry to line up at the trough!
As of our last OPRA request, we place the total in legal fees that the Borough spent “defending” themselves from “us,” north of $20,000 dollars. This is ABHORRENT behavior and abuse of every taxpayer’s trust! Ironically, they require exacting parameters for OPRA requests, in order to hide information. For example: If you don’t provide the request, naming the document as they have named it, you will not receive it. Interesting.
Crony capitalism is essentially a condition in which… public officials are giving favours to people in the private sector in payment of political favours.
