Community Blindness

The Borough of Sea Bright, selectively forgets the importance of recognizing that we are ALL part of the same community, and that our actions impact everyone in that community. Federal Grants are made to entire communities — NOT the town council and their vendors. An HMGP Grant (Hazard Mitigation Grant Program) is like having seatbelts or airbags in a car — having them reduces the costs to ALL people purchasing insurance. With the HGMP program, it stops repetitive loss properties from collecting multiple times for the same damage. Like seatbelts in a car, it aids to remedy the problem. Seatbelts and/or airbags = less deaths. Both keep reduce the rates for all insured. The cost up front of this program is recouped rapidly. Our house is an example of this, as it recouped the loss in 6 claims or less, thereby saving us and the communities (along with every federal taxpayer) insured.

Fraud and falsehood only dread examination. Truth invites it.
